About Kenya Fisheries Services
The Kenya Fisheries Service, created by the Fisheries Management and Development Act No. 35 of 2016, is a corporate entity that aims to conserve, manage, and develop the fisheries and aquaculture resources within Kenya and to be the leading agency fisheries and aquaculture resources in Africa.

Our mandate is to conserve, manage and develop Kenya’s fisheries and aquaculture resources.
The KeFS is responsible for establishing conservation standards and policies for the management and sustainable use of fisheries resources. They also develop guidelines for fisheries and aquaculture activities, as well as monitor their implementation.
